Anderson Creek Golf Club, Davis Love III’s first signature golf course in North Carolina, has been voted the state’s best new golf course for 2001 by North Carolina Magazine.

North Carolina Magazine’s 130-member golf panel rates each year’s new golf courses on six elements – shot value, condition, resistance to scoring, design variety, memorability and aesthetics. The voting for 2001 was the closest ever with Anderson Creek edging out the Arnold Palmer designed Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, NC by only 12 points.

Anderson Creek is a 7180 yard golf course that meanders beautifully through the forested hills of Spring Lake, NC. The course features all that is great about golf in the sandhills; tall longleaf pines, natural areas highlighted with love grass and perfectly manicured conditions. "We tried to make the course fit the land and look natural. This type of course is one that I’ve always found most appealing", said Love. The course offers five sets of tees that guarantee golfers of all abilities a challenging golf experience.

The golf course is classified as semi-private, and is open for public play with off-season rates of $45 to play Monday through Thursday and $55 to play Friday through Sunday. The club also offers a variety of annual membership programs benefiting individuals and families. These packages include unlimited green fees, advance tee time registration, special guest rates and charging privileges.
